Canadian to Set Frisbee World Record in China

Rob McLeod, a resident of Calgary, will travel to Beijing, China from November 30 to December 4, 2011 to set a Guinness World Record in the sport of frisbee on China Central Televison (CCTV).

“Ever since I was a kid I bought the Guinness Book of World Records through the school book order; I dreamed of one day having my name on those pages,” said McLeod.

MTA Mashup Video

I will be competing in the 2011 WFDF World Flying Disc Championships in Fort Collins, Colorado.

One of the events I’m looking to do the best in is MTA or Maximum Time Aloft. Basically you get scored on how long the disc stays in the air. World record is just under 17 seconds.

In this training video, the first throws are all done with no wind and the last throw was on a very windy day. The last throw, had I caught it, would have been around 11 seconds.
