I’ve had some requests to film a video showing me throwing hammers so people can see my technique and my footwork. This is a sample of me throwing hammers (it was super windy so they are floating more than they normally would) so let me know what you think!
Thanks for the comments and requests!!

My buddy Tyler and I went throwing outside and I set up the video camera to capture our throws. Getting out and throwing with someone is a great way to work on your throws but make sure to focus on having good form and thinking about where you want your throws to go. Also, learn how the disc moves through the air and practice reading the disc so you’ll be a better receiver/defender in a game.

This video, requested by Simbadwashere90 on Youtube, talks about the various grips for throwing a disc and which ones I recommend using. Let me know if you grip the disc differently to the ones I show in the video!

The more throws you are able to throw the better because you will be more of a threat to your opponents and the harder they will have to work to cover all of your players when you have the disc. By having the hammer as an option, you will be a huge asset to your team and you will force the defense to be more aware when you have the disc.
You will hear many different things from many different people, but there are several cases in which I think a hammer is useful:
