My trainer, Curtis Howden, recently competed at the Canadian Weightlifting Senior nationals. He placed 3rd of the 24 in Canada for the 169lb or 77kg weight class who made the qualifying standard. He lifted 115kg in the snatch and 140kg in the clean and jerk. He recently sat down with the guys from ChangeLink to talk more about his sport, how olympic lifting helped him recover from a car accident, and what the benefits olympic lifting has for athletes in other sports, like ultimate frisbee.

I wanted to give a huge congrats to Curtis and I can attest to the fact that olympic lifting has helped me in all disc sports by increasing my power, my mobility and my speed allowing me to run faster, jump higher and throw further.
